Todowing

Todowing is an unofficial Chrome extension for Todoist, made by Red Pixel with no affiliation to Doist.

Todoist shows sub-tasks as flat rows in Today, Upcoming, filter, label and board views. Todowing nests them under their parent in those views, so you see the whole tree where you work. You can check off, reopen, add, rename and reorder sub-tasks from the list, and each sub-task keeps its own due date, priority and labels.

The lifetime unlock adds a hide-done toggle, a focus timer that counts down beside your list across open tabs, time estimates, a three-line notes pad above Today, and one task in two places. It can also show Apple Calendar events in Today, read-only, from published calendar links. You also get seven color palettes, a 50-font picker and a text-size slider.

It is for Todoist users who want to see sub-tasks in their daily views. It works with any Todoist plan, including free, in Chrome on the Todoist web app. It does not run inside the Todoist desktop app.

Pricing: the free version nests sub-tasks in all supported views, with up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task and no account. The lifetime unlock costs $19.99 once, with no subscription. It removes the row limit, adds the features above and includes future upgrades. Refunds are available within 14 days.

Privacy: your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Your tasks never reach Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.
